San Cristobal Province beekeepers tap new VP

San Cristobal, Dominican Republic.- Mayra Castillo-Velez was recently elected Vice President of the Beekeeper’s Association of San Cristobal Province (south).

Mrs. Velez is only one of a handful of women members of the association.

Her knowledge of apiculture will provide the organization with outside resources for increased production and up-to-date maintenance procedures and equipment for apiaries of San Cristobal Province.
