New Scotiabank country chief, Central Banker talk economy, banking

Santo Domingo.- Central banker Héctor Valdez Albizu on Tuesday met with Scotiabank senior vice President and new Country director in the Dominican Republic, Robert Williams.

The new executive stated his excitement with the monetary and financial authority for the opportunity to lead the Canada-based bank, whose long presence in the country dates to the early 1900s. he pledged to strengthen Scotia’s services to benefit its customers and the Dominican community.

Valdez Albizu was accompanied by deputy governor Clarissa de la Rocha, manager Ervin Novas and assistant managers Frank Montaño and Joel Tejeda.

Williams, accompanied by former country manager Chiara Borreli, discussed financial and banking topics with the Central Bank’s senior officials.
