July prices climb 0.24%; transport, housing decline

Santo Domingo.- TheCentral Bank on Monday said July prices rose 0.24% compared to June, with cumulativeinflation from January to July at 0.85%.
It said inflation fromJuly 2014 to July 2015 was 0.50%, “considerably lower than the annualized rateof 3.41% posted at the end of July 2014.¨
On its website TheCentral Bank said prices on food and non-alcoholic beverages climbed 1.10%,while those of transport fell 0.25% and housing and 0.42%, respectively, “contributingso the overall growth of the index wasn’t of greater magnitude.
