Dominican Gov in ´spirit´ for talks with Haiti: Foreign Minister
Santo Domingo.-Foreign minister Andres Navarro on Friday said the Dominican government is in a"spirit and interest" to establish talks with Haiti authorities, “forthe sake of both nations.”
Speaking in New Yorkthe official said Dominican president Danilo Medina and Haiti´s Michel Martellyare expected to “have some contact” in that city, during the UN general assembly.
He noted however thatthere´s nothing official or on the agenda for Medina and Martelli to meet.

Navarro said Medina´sbusy agenda in New York includes the UN gathering and a meeting with members ofthe Dominican community, in which former president Leonel Fernandez is expected toparticipate.
He said Medina willspeak before the UN on Tuesday evening; participate in several meetings onSunday and Monday andl meet with representatives of the Dominican community atWashington Heights High School, in Upper Manhattan.
