Dominican Republic buys 1.2 M high-tech trackers for motorcycles

Hong Kong(PRNewswire).- STAR Systems International (SSI), a Radio FrequencyIdentification (RFID) hardware, tag and professional services provider, todayannounced that it has completed a sale of 1.2 million ISO 18000-6C headlamptransponders in the Dominican Republic.

Commencing in thefall of 2015, these transponders will be installed on every motorcycle in theDominican Republic. A tracking systemwill use the transponders to help enforce compliance with the annual vehicleregistration process.
