Subway Line 2 extension nearly ready, but more trains needed

Santo Domingo.- Transport Reorganization Office (Opret) directorDiandino Peña on Sunday said work on the bridge over the Ozama river beingbuilt for the Santo Domingo Metro is on pace for president Danilo Medina toinaugurate prior to the May 15 election.

During a tour of the work, Peña said the extension wouldcost around of US$385 million.

He said however that the Metro’s extension can’t operate untilmore trains are acquired.
