Customs US$1.02B midyear revenue sets record

Santo Domingo.- Customs Agency revenue January to June toppeda record RD$46.8 billion (US$1.02 billion), a 9.71% jump and RD$4.1 billion morethan the same period last year.

Customs collected RD$8.4 billion In June, a 9.02% increase,or RD$693.8 million higher than the same period of 2015.

In a statement Customs said it collected RD$46.8 billionfrom January to June 2016, or 99.02% of the National Budget estimate of RD$47.3billion for that period.
