French firm to manage most of the country’s airports

Santo Domingo.- The French firm VINCI Airports will manage mostof Dominican Republic’s major airports, replacing Aerodom, whose contract datesto 2000.

President Danilo Medina executive order and Airports Commissionresolution approve the transfer of the Concession Agreement, awarded to VINCI affiliateLatin American Airports Holdings Ltd., which took effect April 8.

VINCI will now manage the airports Las Americas (Caucedo), Luperon(Puerto Plata), Bosch (Catey, Samana), Higuero (Santo Domingo Noerte), ArroyoBarril (Samana) and Montez (Barahona).
