Public Works to tender beltway around southern city

Santo Domingo.- The PublicWorks Ministry on Sunday announced a call for tenders to design and build the BaníBeltway (south), as the section of the on Course Procurement and Contract websitestipulates.

Among the requirements figure the integral design of the BaniProject Beltway; construction of two lanes separated by a New Jersey traffic median,with two 3.65 meter wide lanes; 2.50 meter wide shoulders; three traffic interchanges:One at the east end of Baní, the second at the Nizao exit, and the third on thewest side of the city.

The call for tenders includes the construction of fourbridges, three abutments, and construction of dirt access roads and theinstallation of horizontal and vertical traffic signs
