US Envoy, Santo Domingo Mayor meet, talk cooperation

Santo Doming.- US ambassador James W. Brewster on Tuesday metwith National District mayor David Collado, to discuss various topics of mutualinterest.

After the meeting held at the old City Hall in the ColonialZone, Collado said the ambassador offered his country’s support on issues suchas public safety, tourism, traffic, human rights and businesses. "It was avery fruitful visit for the immediate future of the capital city."

He said other joint plans in the offing will be announcedlater.

"The main thing is that Bob and I wanted to come here andcongratulate the new mayor, and see in what manner our embassy can worktogether with the new mayor," said Brewster, accompanied by his spouse,Bob Satawake.
