Official tells Brits of Dominican competitiveness on trade

Santo Domingo.- Industry and Commerce ministerTemistocles Montas on Friday called trade promotion an essential element of theDominican Government’s actions for the National Development Strategy, as the vitalmomentum in quality logistics and a competitive infrastructure network.

The official spoke in the conference"Infrastructure and Logistics: pointing the Dominican competitivedevelopment" during the 5th annual Dominican Week in the UK, sponsored bythe Dominican embassy.

??Montas said Dominican Republic’s logisticsperformance boasts good momentum. "We’re a small developing island State.We have clearly identified the strengths and work those areas where diagnosticsindicate that there is much room to advance."

The conference at Oxford University in Londonwas attended by Dominican ambassador in Great Britan Federico Cuello Camilo,special guests and university professors.

"Dominicans aspire for development and havemanaged to do so in an increasingly globalized context, in which the majorworld economies are increasingly interconnected," said Montas, according toan Industry and Commerce statement.
