D. Medina, (c)

Santo Domingo.- A delegation of investors from Massachusetts met Mon. at the National Palace with president Danilo Medina, to state their interest in investing in the country’s tourism sector.

Accounts Chamber president Hugo Álvarez, who organized the meeting, said the group wants to “raise Dominican nationality to a very high degree,” inspired by the large number of people from the Caribbean nation residing in Massachusetts.

He added that the visiting committee will advise the Accounts Chamber on entities of leading audits, on good practice and governance. “We have signed an agreement to exchange ideas relating to entities of higher audits, because for us to do audits we often need international specialists, engineers, civil engineers, etc.”
