Fuel prices up RD$1.00 – RD$3.00

Santo Domingo.- All petroleum-derived fuels will go up in price for the coming week, with the exception of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) which is being reduced by one peso and fuel oil which remains at the same price as last week. The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Small and Medium-sized Companies announced Friday the new prices in effect from Saturday January 27th.

These new price hikes bring premium gasoline to RD$235.30 per gallon, regular gasoline to RD$219.20 and regular diesel to RD$178.50, an increase of RD$3.00 each.

Optimum diesel is being sold at RD$190.60 per gallon, an increase of RD$2.00; aircraft fuel or avtur at RD$139.90, up RD$1.00 and kerosene at RD$167.30, up by RD$2.00.

Fuel Oil remains at RD$112.85 per gallon, the same as last week, whileLiquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) costs RD$115.30 per gallon, down RD$1.00, and Natural Gas is RD$28.97 per cubic meter, the same price as last week.

The average dollar-peso exchange rate of RD$48.53 used to calculate the new rates is based on a Dominican Central Bank survey.
