Medina, Citibank execs talk finance, collaboration at summit

Lima.- During his stay in Peru for the III Business Summit of the Americas, president Danilo Medina is holding meetings with officials and foreign business leaders, including executives of the powerful group, Citibank.

On Fri. the Presidency said the ties between the Dominican Republic and the financial institution was discussed in the meeting, as well as new joint actions and collaboration mechanisms.

Medina met with Citibank vice president for Corporate Banking, Jay Collins; Northern Latin American Division director, Álvaro Jaramillo and Corporate Banking and Investment for Latin America director, Eduardo Cruz.

The Presidency added that Citibank recently participated in the placement of bonds in Dominican pesos in the capital market, “which shows the confidence of investors in our economy.”
