Medina heads Sustainable Development Commission’s 1st meeting

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina heads the first meeting of the high level Inter-agency Sustainable Development Commission at the National Palace on Wednesday.

The Economy Ministry coordinates the commission and is formed by government agencies, as well as representatives of the business sector and civil society.

The commission’s objective is to promote the adoption and fulfillment of the goals set forth in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, through the public policies reflected in the planning instruments and in adherence to the National Development Strategy.
