Meeting mulls Dominican-Sri Lanka trade

Santo Domingo.- A commission of the Roundtable of Commonwealth countries in the Dominican Republic on Sunday held a meeting with Sri Lanka foreign minister V Senanayake and ambassador A L Ratnapala, to discuss ways to develop trade with that Asian nation.
At the meeting held at the Sheraton Hotel Roundtable directors Fernando González Nicolás, Roberto Herrera and Edmundo Gil discussed foreign trade and investment with the visiting Sri Lanka delegation.
Moreover the meeting identified the productive lines with the higihest potential to enter that market, especially the agro sector.
With a population of more than 20 million, Sri Lanka, a Commonwealth country, exports cinnamon, tea, coffee, rubber and coconut.
