Central Banker: foreign currency income will be US$30.0B

Santo Domingo.- Dominican Central banker Héctor Valdez Albizu, on Fri. praised the performance of the Dominican economy during 2018, when he predicts that the country would post a yearend growth of around 6.5%.
He also predicted inflation of around 3%, a relatively stable exchange rate and projected income from foreign currency of around US$30.0 billion.
Valdez provided the figures in a meeting with a French delegation headed by French ambassador, Didier Lopinot.
He said Dominican Republic’s 6.5 % growth economic is Latin America’s highest.
Lopinot was accompanied by French economists interested in learning about the country’s macroeconomic performance and their perspectives.
