Americans should invest in NW port: US envoy

Manzanillo, Dominican Republic.- Dominican Port Authority director, Víctor Gómez, and United States ambassador Robin S. Bernstein, on Thurs. toured Manzanillo Port, Montecristi province (northwest), where the diplomat highlighted the investment opportunities of the terminal for her government and for American companies as well.

She stressed the optimal conditions of the port infrastructure and the beauty of Manzanillo harbor. “I’s an honor to be able to visit this port, which at the same time allows us to continue strengthening the good relations that we maintain between the United States of America and the Dominican Republic, and which we hope will continue forward.”

“This visit demonstrates the interest of the Government of the United States and different North American companies to know the details of the port for investment plans in public-private partnership with the Government,” Gómez said.
