Entities join to relaunch Chinatown, attract tourists

Santo Domingo.- The Chinese Embassy announced Wed. its support for the National Consumer Protection Institute (ProConsumidor) to relaunch the program “Promotion of Good Commercial Practices for the Chinese District,” so that the sector offers quality products and hygienic shops that don’t pose health and economic risks.

China embassy political advisor Zhang Buxin praised ProConsumer’s interest and support to turn Chinatown into a tourist attraction for both the national and foreign shoppers.

He also stressed the embassy’s commitment so that Chinese retailers meet the highest quality standards.

Diagnosis

Pro Consumer director Anina Del Castillo said that a diagnosis was made of the main restaurants and stores in Chinatown, to accompany them in the implementation of the corresponding advances in the offers of the goods and services marketed.
