Altice Dominicana receives Foreign Direct Investment Award 2023

Santo Domingo.- Altice Dominicana’s operations have made a significant contribution to the country’s economic growth over the past year, according to the Dominican Republic’s Export and Investment Center (ProDominicana), which has included the telecommunications company among the winners of its “Recognition of Foreign Direct Investment” award.

“Since we started operations in the Dominican Republic, we were confident that we were going to contribute greatly to the development of the national telecommunications industry; and we did. We have made sustained investments that have strengthened our network structure, which has allowed us to contribute to the development and growth of Dominicans, which has also benefited the Dominican economy in general,” said Liza Arzeno, Director of Institutional Relations of Altice Dominicana.

In each of its operational and commercial projects, the company has communicated its commitment to the development of the country through technological entrepreneurship, the democratization of such services and the reduction of the digital divide.

Altice Dominicana has the most complete and robust network infrastructure in the country, for the expansion of which it has invested more than RD$52,000 million since it was established in Dominican territory. In recent years it has also led the main advances that the nation has experienced in the telecommunications area, with the expansion of the 4G LTE network and more recently, with the launch of the 5G network.

With the execution of its Altice 5G expansion plan, the company contributes to the increase of efficiency and productivity indexes of the local business sector, which in the long term will have an impact on attracting more investment capital and will ultimately translate into greater economic welfare for the benefit of the entire population.

The recognition of Altice Dominicana’s contributions was made during the second edition of the event “Recognition of Foreign Direct Investment,” organized by ProDominicana, aimed at valuing foreign capital companies that have bet on the country in their business expansion plans, and thus have brought incalculable benefits.
