Canada’s Mounties train Dominican antinarcotics agents

Santo Domingo.- Canada’s Mounted Police today began an advanced officer training course for the personnel of the Drugs Control Agency (DNCD), on how to detect the different types of narcotics.

The training, to last until the 28th, is also for the Central Police Command antinarcotics agents and officers, and for Customs officials, the DNCD said in a statement.

Canada ambassador Todd Kuiack spoke to inaugurate the course, and stressed the importance of the training.

Joint Information Coordination Center (CICC) director Jose Matos, among other senior officials headed the activity held in the DNCD Academy

Dominican ambassador before the OAS Anibal Quiñónez and CICAD representative Ziggie Malyniwsky also spoke in the inaugural.
