Cali Cartel has to come here to make its deals, antinarcotics chief says

Santo Domingo.- National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) president Rolando Rosado revealed Tuesday that the 1,098 kilos of cocaine seized in the Santo Domingo East sector Alma Rosa belonged to the Cali Cartel, of Colombia.

The official also affirmed that the drug shipment was in transit through the country.

Rosado said the narcotics trafficking structure of the Colombians in Dominican Republic has been dismantled, for which the drugs’ owners themselves come to the country to conduct the transactions.

The DNCD chief made the announcement while taking part in a conference on criminal analysis and the use of information to prevent crime, with the presence of Cali, Colombia Police commander Miguel Angel Bojacá, and other local senior officials.
