Scattered showers, thunderstorms to continue

SANTO DOMINGO. – The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts scattered showers with thunderstorms for the northeast, southeast and Santo Domingo province Friday, from an approaching low pressure system.

It added that the presence of a high pressure system near the north coast is keeping the frontal system located over the central portion of Cuba from moving towards Dominican Republic.
