Major pollster: Ruling party ticket with First Lady obtains 55%

SANTO DOMINGO. – The ruling PLD party ticket Danilo Medina- Margarita Cedeño would obtain 55% of the votes if the elections were held today, to 39.6% for the opposition PRD’s Hipólito Mejía-Luis Abinader formula.

The survey figures are from the major pollster Asisa Research, which also found that without Cedeño, Medina would individually obtain 48%, to Mejía’s 46%.

Asisa Research representative Danilo Guzmán said 11, 530 people were polled from October 12 to 16 nationwide, and found that 83.2% consider Cedeño the PLD’s best vice-presidential candidate. He didn’t specify a margin of error however, nor who paid for the survey.
