Increasing cloudiness, scattered showers over most of the country
Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts increasing cloudiness for the northeast, southeast, southwest and Central Mountains Friday afternoon and evening, with scattered showers and possible thunderstorms.
It said weather conditions will be under the effects of the prevailing East wind and the local convection effects.
Onamet also forecasts scattered showers and thunderstorms for the central, eastern and northeastern provinces, and partly cloudy Friday afternoon and sporadic showers at night for Greater Santo Domingo.
It also announced that a low pressure system accompanied by heavy precipitation and electrical storms, located around 1,360 kilometers west-northwest of Cape Verde Islands, and has a low probability of becoming a storm in the next 48 hours.
