Lack of money delayed Census final data

Santo Domingo.– The National Statistics Office (ONE) said that lack of economic resources has been a delay in the completion of the 9th National Population and Housing Census 2010.

However, the agency is confident that the survey data will be delivered late in the second quarter of next year. According to ONE director Pablo Tactuk, who declined to reveal the amount required to complete the Census, information processing is ready in about 90%.

Last March the authorities gave preliminary information on the Census, which states that the country population is 9,378,818, of which 4.7 million are women and 4.6 million are men.
