Frontal system brings downpours, lower temperatures

SANTO DOMINGO. – The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) forecasts that a frontal system will bring lower temperatures and scattered but often heavy showers and thunderstorms to the country’s north, northeast, southeast, Central Mountains and border zone.

It said marine conditions in the North Coast will be dangerous with strong winds and waves as high as 11 feet near the coast, and cautions small craft to remain in port.

ONAMET says small boats can operate in Samaná Bay’s, except in the south shore.
