Most of the country with scattered showers, heavy at times

Santo Domingo.- The wind from a high pressure system in the Atlantic Ocean will bring scattered showers Thursday, mostly in the afternoon, the National Meteorology Office said today.

It said the Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountains can expect precipitations, whereas a cold front approaching the country will increase cloudiness and rains over Dominican territory in the weekend, adding that the prevailing East-Northeast wind will keep temperatures seasonably mild in evening and morning hours.

For Greater Santo Domingo and the central and eastern provinces, Meteorology forecasts partly cloudy skies with scattered but sometimes heavy showers in the afternoon.
