Mostly clear skies, mild temps, North coast surf warning continue

SANTO DOMINGO. – The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts continuing seasonably mild temperatures Tuesday morning and evening, from a low pressure system located in the Atlantic Ocean and the northwest wind.

It expects mostly clear skies Tuesday morning gradually increased in the afternoon with widely scattered showers for the north, northeast and central regions.

Onamet warns of a higher than normal surf in the North coast, for which small craft should remain in port, coastal zone residents should be prepared for possible coastal flooding, and cautions swimmers on riptides and strong beach surge.
