Agencies seize 200 Ks of drugs headed to Brussels by air

SANTO DOMINGO.- At least 200 kilos of drugs reportedly headed to Brussels was found Monday afternoon in the Las Americas International Airport in an ongoing operation under the command of the heads of the Drugs Control Agency (DNCD),Rolando Rosado and of the Airport Security Corp, Zenon Padilla.

According to local media reports the drug –either heroin or cocaine- was found in the terminal’s cargo area in 128 packages, prior to loading on board a Jet Air flight bound for Belgium.

The plane where the drug had been found left in a container from Punta Cana International Airport (east) and landed in Las Americas, and reportedly left it in the cargo area on December 5.
