“Push the authorities toward honesty” tops DT readers’ challenges

Santo Domingo.- For DT readers, the most important issue to deal with this year is to push the authorities toward honest management in government and in the handling of taxpayers’ money.

Of the 477 total votes cast in the weekly poll, “What’s most important for Dominicans in 2012?,” the response “Push the authorities toward honesty resulted with 189 votes, or 40%, barely edging out “Work harder, talk less,” with 188 votes or 39%.

In third place was the response “Tie everything down, storm’s coming,” with 67 votes, or 14% of the readers felt it was most important, and “Avert the world economic mess” had 33 votes, or 7% of the readers who took part in the unscientific survey.
