We will continue working despite challenges, DNCD chief says

Santo Domingo.– Antinarcotics Agency (DNCD) president Rolando Rosado on Friday said that his organization will continue to work as stipulated by the Law 50-88.

In a statement released by the DNCD, Rosado pointed out that the antinarcotics agency will make every effort needed to prevent the Dominican territory being used as a bridge for drug delivery to any other destination.

These comments came following the statements by U.S. ambassador Raul Yzaguirre that Washington would trim funding to Dominican Republic’s war on drug trafficking, for which the country would have to confront the problem with more efficiency and dedication.

"The United States, no doubt, is our main ally in this fight being waged by the Dominican authorities, but it is a decision we can not question," Rosado said.
