Prosecutor says “cracking” probe results disclosed when ready

Santo Domingo.- National District prosecutor Yeni Berenice Reynoso Sunday night said the results of the investigation into the “cracking” of emails for espionage will be disclosed the day the evidence is ready, “not one day before, not one day later.”

She warned that no one can scare or buy her, “much less an accused in a process in the investigation phase.”

She denied that the search of the properties of TV producer Guillermo Gomez included the news source Siglo21.com, referring to Friday’s actions taken on denounced “cracking” and hacking of email accounts of the first lady, Margarita Cedeño, of government officials and of business leaders.

In a statement the National District Prosecutor said there have been several aspects of the investigation process thus far which will not be revealed until the case is in the “judicialization” phase. “We didn’t arrest to investigate, we investigated to arrest as the law stipulates.”
