Police seize 700Ks of cocaine, three arrests
BOCA CHICA, Dominican Republic. – National Police agents in Andres, Boca Chica seized 700 kilos of cocaine from three men in an SUV, after a high speech chase from La Romana (east), lasting more than two hours.
The individuals were arrested 4am Wednesday, with the cocaine stuffed in several sacks.
National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) president Rolando Rosado arrived at the scene half an hour later to inventory the drug jointly with the National Police and Assistant DAs.
In a statement, the DNCD said there are three people in custody and the vehicle was seized, while the investigation aims to apprehend other suspects still on the loose.
