Tope Prosecutor says First Lady’s email cracking probe advances

Santo Domingo.- Justice minister Radhamés Jiménez on Monday said the investigation into the cracking of emails of the First Lady and other officials advances, reason why the Public Ministry will seek up 10 years in prison for the people indicted.

He said there’ll be exemplary convictions for the people charged with intercepting Margarita Cedeño’s emails and pledged to provide details of the case in due time.

Jiménez called ex deputy and TV journalist Marcos Martinez’s allegation that the First Lady has 43 million euros in a Denmark bank account an attack on her honor, adding that Cedeño is a popular and highly regarded woman with proven integrity and honesty.
