Mild temperatures, widely scattered showers

SANTO DOMINGO. – The National Meteorology Office said the seasonably mild temperatures will continue and forecasts some widely scattered showers today, from the prevailing East-northeast wind.

It said the rains will be more frequent in the Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountains, from an eastward moving low pressure system over central Cuba.

Meteorology said the higher than normal waves continue along the Atlantic coast, but will gradually return to normal, and small craft should remain in port, whereas those along the Caribbean coast and in Samaná Bay should operate near shore.
