Legislation gives tax break to surveillance cameras

Santo Domingo.- The Chamber of Deputies passed a bill to allow tax free imports of all types of equipment, systems and video cameras used for security in homes, businesses and public places.

Lower Chamber president Abel Martinez said a special commission promoted the initiative, aimed at dealing with the many types of crimes.

The legislation on tax breaks for security cameras has already been sent to the Senate, where it’s expected to become law.
