Haiti president visits to promote economic ties

Santo Domingo.- Haiti president Michel Martelly will meet briefly with Dominican par Leonel Fernandez in the capital today, to review bilateral topics and sign several agreements.

Martelly is slated to arrive at 10am local time at Las Americas International Airport and will be received by Fernandez in the National Palace one hour later, the Presidency’s Press Office said.

Their agenda will start at 12:15pm with their participation in a meeting of the Mixed Bilateral Commission, created in 1996 to promote economic ties between the two nations.
