Showers for all regions, except the Northwest

Santo Domingo.- The prevailing East wind will bring scattered showers with thunderstorms to the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Cibao Valley and the Central Mountains, especially during the afternoon and evening.

the National Meteorology Office forecasts downpours, thunderstorms and gusts of wind for Great Santo Domingo, Santiago, Puerto Plata, Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Duarte, Sanchez Ramirez and Monseñor Noël provinces starting Friday night.

It said marine conditions begin to improve gradually along the Atlantic coast, but its advisories for small craft to remain in port are still in effect until the waves return to normal. It said along the Caribbean coast small boats should operate near shore.
