COE starts Easter Week operation today

Santo Domingo.– The Easter Week operation starts today, Thursday at 2:00 p.m., with 35,082 members from the Presidency, the Armed Forces, the Police, First Lady’s Office, AMET, Civil Defense, Red Cross, Firefighters and OMSA.

The Emergency Operations Center (COE) announced the initiative will conclude on Sunday, 8 April at 10:00 p.m. In order to keep tragic incidents low, there will be 2,512 first aid stations nationwide, most of them located at swimming places, highways, freeways and avenues, 123 ambulances, three air units and 75 bicycle-ambulances.

According to the report, heavy vehicles are banned from traveling on the roads from midday Thursday until 10:00 p.m. Sunday, a measure aimed at preventing accidents.
