Dominican surgeon to serve community service for disfiguring women

New York.– Domincan plastic surgeon Hector Cabral, not licensed to practice in the United States, will serve just 250 hours of community service for disfiguring seven women in New York.

Along with the community service, Cabral, 52, is being sent back to Dominican Republic, will not be able to return to the U.S. for three years, and will being paying a mere US$23,000 in total restitution to his victims.

The surgeon, who is only licensed to practice in the Dominican Republic, is said to have promised his patients cheap liposuctions to make them more beautiful, but what they really were left with was pain and infection accompanied by both physical and emotional scars.

Though he pled guilty in October 2011, Cabral avoided jail time by making a deal with the State Attorney General’s office.
