Airline refutes debts with airports management company

Santo Domingo.- The airline MAS on Tuesday affirmed it pays the airports management company Aerodom as much as US$68,000 monthly for its operations that include offices, counter, hangar, landing, passenger tax and other fees to use the terminal at Higüero International Airport.

MAS president Manuel Fernandez said the carrier adheres to its operational commitment daily since January 15 and up-to-date in its payments.

In a statement, the executive said MAS pays Aerodom US$32.30 each for its 200,000 passengers yearly, totaling more than US$6.0 million.

Fernandez said Aerodom rejected that payment proposal, arguing that they want the total owed, an attitude he affirms jeopardizes tourist and commercial flights at Higüero.
