Honduras ex president Zelaya falls, fractures hip

Santo Domingo.- Former Honduras president of Manuel Zelaya has been admitted to a hospital in the Dominican capital after fall which caused a fracture in his hip.

The Cedimat Medical Center issued a statement Friday noon announcing that Zelaya will undergo surgery by orthopedics specialist Jose Ramon Yunen.

Zelaya, who had resided in the country for several months in self exile, is visiting Dominican Republic to dictate a conference and for personal reasons.
