Pollster Sigma Dos: Medina 53.7%, Mejia 43.6%

SANTO DOMINGO.- The Spanish pollster Sigma Dos said ruling PLD party candidate Danilo Medina will win in the first balloting with 53.7% of the votes over his opposition PRD party rival Hipólito Mejia’s 43.6%.

Sigma said the survey conducted from April 20 to 26 with 1,500 people nationwide, asked eligible voters whom they’d vote for in next Sunday’s elections.

Pollster country director Leonard Kemp and Sigma Dos president Carlos Malo Molina disclosed the results Tuesday morning, who added that the survey’s margin of error is 2.5 percent.
