Rains increase, temperatures remain high

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) forecasts a slight increase in rains for the next 24 to 48 hours as a low pressure system approaches the country from the north.

It said some heavy showers can be expected mostly in afternoon hours in the northeast, southwest, southeast, Central Mountains and border zone.

ONAMET adds that the temperatures will be higher than normal, from the prevailing southeast wind.
