Santiago.- Marcos Martinez, the lawyer who had accused the First lady and ruling PLD party vice presidential candidate Margarita Cedeño of having US$73.0 million euros in a Danish bank account, said he would vote for her ticket mate Danilo Medina in Sunday elections.
A video uploaded to the social networks yesterday shows Martinez speaking in a beer hall in Santiago, and in two occasions called Medina the best presidential option, despite that opposition PRD party rival Hipólito Mejía is his friend.
The surprising video comes in the wake of months during which Martinez has gained notoriety on Cedeño’s alleged account, and just one week after despite being subpoenaed, failed to appear to a hearing on charges of document fraud.
