Dignified Education Coalition off to Washington for major prize

Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic’s Dignified Education Coalition will receive the "Civic Engagement Award" bestowed by the Inter-American Dialogue, which will present the recognition on June 7 at the Organization of American States headquarters, Washington DC.

"The Inter-American Dialogue’s award for civic engagement seeks to recognize outstanding achievements in promoting good public policy in Latin America and the Caribbean," says notification sent to the Coalition, signed by board members Michelle Bachelet, Carla Hills, Enrique Garcia and Thomas McLarty.

The business leader Elena Viyella, who represents Dominican Republic in the Inter-American Dialogue, will bestow the prize on Coalition executive Magda Pepen.
