Widely scattered showers, high temps continue

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts widely scattered showers for the Northwest, Southwest, Southeast, Central Mountains and border area, from the prevailing east- southeast wind, with continuing higher than normal temperatures.

It also forecasts increasing cloudiness and scattered showers and thunderstorms until Wednesday for the Southeast, Southwest, Central Mountains and the border area tomorrow, when a tropical wave approaches from the Lesser Antilles.

Onamet said advisories on higher than normal waves are in effect for the Caribbean coast, where small craft should remain near the coast.
