National Police lauds Haiti par on 17th anniversary

Port-au-Prince.- Dominican Republic’s National Police lauded its Haiti par to mark its 17th anniversary and bestowed a special recognition on the local Police Academy, during a ceremony in the Haitian capital.

Haiti President Michel Martelly headed the activity accompanied Haiti Police chief Mario Andresol, and Dominican par Jose Polanco, who stressed the progress reached by the neighbouring country’s agents.

The official, who represented the Dominican President and Government, also noted the cooperation between the two nations, which in his view has led to major blows against organized crime. "On behalf of president Leonel Fernandez we congratulate Haiti’s Police for the progress made in these 17 years, despite the difficult situations facing the Haitian people."
