Scattered showers, high temps, thunderstorms

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) on Tuesday forecasts continuing scattered showers and thunderstorms from the prevailing southeast wind, for the Southwest, Southeast and Central Mountains.

It said a tropical wave southeast of Puerto Rico will slightly increase cloudiness and showers along the Caribbean coast starting Tuesday night.

Onamet adds that the high temperatures and humidity will continue and recommends drinking plenty of liquids and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun.
